Hi everyone well we certainly have had monsoon weather over the last few days, the burn at the bottom of my road overflowed and resulted in the junction being closed as it was impassable, an instant lake practically on my doorstep. Thank goodness I live at the top of the hill!!!

Halloween Craft/party Sunday 30th October 2pm – 4pm:  in the tutorial room outside ward 5a, Yorkhill Hospital. There will be our usual craft table and we will also play some traditional Halloween games.

Medi Cinema:   The Medi Cinema in Yorkhill has two shows a week on a Monday and a Thursday at 6pm sharp. If at any time you would like to see a film but you are not in hospital, you MUST contact Sheila on 0141 201 0021 to book a place. Teenage Services:  Kieran is going to Cardiff on Saturday the 22nd October where he will be speaking at the GUCH/Brighthearts annual Conference about the Teenage Group he and others are trying to get established. Again if you have a teenager who would be interested in the group, Contact teenagers@youngheart.info

Hospital Fayre: We will have a stall in Yorkhill hospital foyer on Friday 4th November 9.30am – 4pm where there will be various goods on sale to raise funds for the association. If you are in the area come along and give your support.

Christmas Cards: The Christmas cards are selling well and we have already run out of some of the designs so if you have still to put in your order in you need to do it sooner rather than later. You can see the designs on the web site Some people have told me that when they look at the cards on the web page the names do not show when they hover over the design, If you have a problem go into tools and click on Compatibility view Settings and that should let you see the info. The cards are still only £3.80 for a good quality pack of 10.

Christmas Party  Yes it is only October but if you could let us know your numbers for the Christmas Party, which is on Sunday 11th December, it would help us to organising Santa’s gift and other things. Once again it is in the Whitlawburn Resource Centre, 57 Belmont Road, Cambuslang from 1.30pm–4pm. We will have a disco and games. If anyone needs directions on how to get there, get in touch with me and I will send you directions. If you have sat nav the post code is G72 8PG.
