Family Weekends

Our Family Weekends have been held every year since 1994 and are great fun for all the family. Pitlochry and the surrounding area is ideal for a weekend break with lots of interesting things to see and do.

The 2008 weekend was held Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th May at the Atholl Centre in Pitlochry. The centre is located behind the Baptist Church on Atholl Road.

As you will see from the photos on this page everyone has a good time at the weekend. Take a look at the "What I liked" comments gathered this year.

Various activities are organised during the weekend, such as cycling, swimming, boating and mini golf for those who wish to take part.

The Weekend includes:
Accommodation (all linen supplied)
Friday night dinner (normally 7pm)

Saturday breakfast / lunch / dinner

Sunday breakfast / lunch / afternoon tea

Arrival Time - any time after 15.30 Friday

Departure Time - 16.30 Sunday

The cost for the 2008 weekend:

£55.00             Per adult

£40.00             For under 18s

£25.00             For under 15s

Heart children and under 5s go free

Day visitors      £5.50 For lunch (2 courses)

These concession rates and costs will be subsided by the Association, but it would be appreciated if families can afford to make a donation of part, or all of the cost. This would enable the Association to help with other projects.

The centre has thirteen bedrooms, accommodating up to 34 people. Each bedroom has vanity wash units and wardrobes. Rooms will be allocated on arrival. Four rooms have private toilet facilities. There are also four shower rooms, one bathroom and six toilets available.

The centre is equipped for disabled guests with toilet facilities, ramps and an elevator to upper floor.

There is a television room and a lounge area. Drying facilities and indoor games are available. The centre also has a large Dining Room.

Special diets such as diabetic, gluten free and vegetarian can be catered for, but please tell me before we go. Car parking is also available.

All other families are welcome for a day visit and lunch can be catered for if you tell me before hand.
